Backup is very important for Office 365.   Microsoft DOES not backup your Email!   Though you can undelete email, the backup of the folders, subfolders and the like are not backed up.   There is no question that your email is on the most robust system in the world.   However, if there is ever any damage, hacking, malicious deletions or the like, Microsoft cannot help you restore your email.

The Solarwinds Office 365 SharePoint data backup will hold data for 1 year.    Office 365, together with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, changes the way data is stored. High availability and excellent security of Microsoft’s Cloud might make you think that backup is a thing of the past. The truth is, for all companies which value their data, backup is still a must-have.   The backup for SharePoint can be turned on and off for specific users.

When files are deleted in One Drive, they are moved to your recycle bin.   The files in the recycle bin can be restored.    However, again there is no Microsoft backup for these files.  Backups must be done independently and are not done by Windows Backup Either.   San Diego Computer Consulting recommends Solarwinds backup for Office 365.    One-Drive can be backed up independently on the SolarWinds platform.
